It might be worth checking and likely renewing the nylon "bearings" 
(bushings) in the hub on which the vertical link pivots. These are 
similar to the bushings in the trunnions the front end, they seem to wear 
about as quickly, and they are often ignored until the job becomes a real 
b*tch to do (bolt seizes in distance piece, etc.). You don't want these 
either to become overly worn and sloppy, nor do you want the vertical 
links to seize -- they should be free to pivot.

Then there are the rubber bushings in the radius arm, of course, and....

Warning: Shipwright's Disease alert! Nonetheless, it's worth checking it 
all and doing whatever is necessary now!
