Hi all,
I was driving back from my girlfriend's place last night and started
to notice that every now & again the front headlights started to
flicker brighter & dimmer - for no apparent reason (ie no bumps,no
rapid acceleration, no sudden braking), just once in a while during
the journey. Me being captain intelligence thought "What happens if I
put the full-beam on ?"
Darkness.
(at 60mph) - very scary.
The lights did come back on after a few seconds, but not an experience
I want to have again in a hurry (at least not a 11.45 pm anyway).
What makes me wonder is that *both* lights went off, so the problem
must lie somewhere other than the lights themselves (which are
apparently new Halogen ones).
Any ideas, is it even worth me donning a toolbelt and brandishing the
trusted spanner & screwdriver to attempt to fix, or is it a case for
the professionals ?
