Hope this all helps;

Proper English made Lucas, Unipart and equivalent fuses are marked with
both their contiuous rating and instaneous blow current. In all cases,
the rated capacity of the fuse (as per Triumph book) is TWICE the
continuous current capacity, ie a 50 amp fuse is not meant to run more
than a 25 amp circuit.

Originally Lucas settled on a colour coding but this has now been
supersceded;

Rated capacity          Colours
5amp red print on yellow paper
10                      green on black
15                      black on lt.brown
25                      black on pink
35                      black on white
50                      purple on yellow
60                      yellow on red

If anyone wants more info on these, or wire sizes, I have all the
original Lucas training and enginnering manuals

If anyone is having troubles getting correct length or rated English
fuses, we have
stocks here in Australia.
