I've been following the 'ripped off' thread and just wanted to throw in my 2
cents. I just purchased a very nice set of Minilite replicas with tires
from Ed Hamilton on the list, and I have to say that they were EXACTLY what
he said they would be. We used a method that has always worked well for me:
have the seller send the stuff COD, and the buyer pays the COD when the
product arrives. The seller will get their money shortly. I have to admit,
I don't personally feel comfortable with the 'check is in the mail' stuff
(at least for anything over 20 bucks). Not to demean humans, but I've been
beat before for excessive trust of that 2% that don't pay!
My largest buy off the net was a great success. I'm sure we're both very
happy with the results. Anyone wishing to trade with Ed Hamilton, go
ahead--he's a good, honest guy.
