I would like to identify what model car my A-Type OD originally came from.
The OD serial # is 22/3009/010880. The solenoid mounting arrangement is
NOT the same as a TR4 or TR4A. It is also different than the picture I have
of one for a TR2. On the TR2 it has an enclosed box that has rounded
corners and is not symetrical. The TR4 and later is supposed to have just a
rock shield to protect the exposed solenoid mechanism. On my OD the
solenoid mounting is more of a rectangular box with a cover plate. Similar
to but not the same as the TR2 unit.
Can anyone identify the original source of this OD?
