Hi Carl,
You're right, the pre 60000 TR's used an adaptor plate between the scuttle and
the windshield stanchions.....these adaptor plates were bolted to the scuttle
and the windshield stanchions were fixed to the adaptor plates with Dzus
fasteners. I guess this was meant to be a quick way of removing the windshield
and replacing it with Brooklands style screens for racing.
In the post 60000 TR's, the sanchions were fixed directly to the scuttle using
special large diameter chromed slotted screws.
