Scott, my 76 has the 1000 speedo and it is original. I also have OD
(factory). My diff is CD 87870 and I believe that to be a 3.70.

On a TR6 the J-type OD makes no difference (as far as the speedo) because
the speedo pickup is taken off the output shaft _after_ the OD. Casual
observation has indicated that 75's had the 1120.

FWIW, my speedo indicates the correct speed. And I have Michelin redlines in
the stock size.
