Following up on a recent carpet thread (pun intended), several folks
mentioned they didn't get the rubber driver's side kick pad with their
carpet kits... I see Moss offers it separately in their
vastly-more-convenient-now-that-every-item-is-priced catalog. Part
#681-190, $3.25. I have no idea if they are in stock.

There was also some discussion of protecting paint, with modern rocker
panel style coatings, etc. Here's another alternative: Eastwood offers a
product made by 3M called Scotchcal Paint Protector. It's a clear,
heavy-duty, self-adhesive urethane film that protects against chips on
rockers, fenders and hoods. Supposedly non-yellowing and can be removed
without harming the paint. Not cheap at $30 for a strip, but a whole lot
cheaper than a repaint. I'd bet you could find it at high end paint
stores, too. I think I'll give this one a try, once I have some paint
worth protecting!
