Brandon:  You were asking about my Spit/6.  I did just what you are doing.  
Started with my old '72 GT6 Mk.III.  Removed body from frame and repaired, 
cleaned and painted frame.  Installed Spit rear body tub onto frame and 
installed all GT6 parts...everything GT6 except back body tub.  I installed 
frame extension kit for rear shock mountings (Rimmer or Moss UK).  This allows 
roto-flex cars to mount top of shoch to new extension as opposed to inner wheel 
well.  I recommend this to avoid having to weld in new mounts (mine were rusted 
anyway) and the converable body is not as rigid as the GT and so the body flex 
may be too much if you go the original route.  The only other thing to watch is 
when you mount
