I've been out of action for a few days since posing the question
regarding longetivity and safety of braided stainless steel brake hoses,
specifically Goodridge, for my TR6, the concern being raised on another
unrelated list.

The overwhelming ( read that 100%) response from this _Triumph_ list for
use of braided SS brake hoses on a _Triumph_ was in favor. I guess this
one's a no-brainer and I will continue forth with the Goodridge braided
hoses as planned.

One thing rang out clear-check your brake hoses and lines regularly,
whether SS, rubber or whatnot and replace the hoses from time to time (
measured in years, not months) as part of your periodic servicing
routine without regard for visible wear and tear.

As for the other list, well, the thread died of natural causes, so I
will leave them alone for now, lurking in the wings with all of your
words of wisdom to bestow upon them should the issue get raised again.

Thanks to each of you for helping me clear my conscience of this (
needless) worry and pointing out the need for routine checking and
periodic replacement of brake hoses.
