OK, folks. I did it -- when visiting in Dallas I bought a '73 Triumph Stag.
All original body and chassis, new front end and a '74 Ford Mustang V-6 3.0
liter engine. Also has a Mustang stick shift transmission. Car is really
beautiful with NO rust anywhere and the original paint and interior and a new
soft-top. Have all the records going back to the first owner. I'll tell the
story if anyone is interested. :-).

Now obviously this is not for concours, not with the engine and tranny being
a Ford, but the car looks great and rides well. I will need to work on the
engine and tranny mounting job, however. The guy who did it did not do it
correctly but the problem can be solved. For that reason I shipped it from
Texas to Florida. So if you see a transporter going across I-10 this week
with a red Stag on board that's it. We intend to use this as THE family car
so I am going mount the engine and drive train properly as well as put in
cruise control and AC.

Some questions please. What are the best sources for body/running gear
parts? Except for the engine and drive train I intend to keep it as original
as possible. Any info/source on hard tops? Who has the info on commission
numbers etc.? I already know about the BMIHT and have checked the VTR site
(not really too much there - mostly info on the original engine, which does
not help me).

So -- any Stag folks (or others with some info) on the list please help.
The shoe is now on the other foot as I am asking for the same info for the
Stag that I provide for the TR4's. TIA and Cheers.
