Hi, Phil. The sheer fact that you can even consider driving your car in
'winter' (if you call it that in Fla) will not win you much sympathy up here
in the 'northern clime'. When it reaches -50, there is an end to how much
clothing you can put on, also. I was lucky to drive my TRs up until December
18, before any snow (& worse - salt!) was on the roads. Now I can't imagine
even firing the cars up (let alone driving them) until about late March at
the earliest. These are definitely 'seasonal' cars up here. During the 'off
season' (off the roads, that is) we Canucks must content ourselves with
catalogue shopping & reruns of vintage racing on Speedvision. When our
summer does come, we too get the hot, muggy days as well (& my 3A is black
on black - not the best colour scheme for summer!). I guess both of us will
just have to tough it out - me in the cold, & you in the warm. Wanna trade?

Cheers, JD
(Black Hole of Ottawa)

Bill -- Good reply to all those who helped you.....I sometimes think
that
many of our northern clime listers just don't realize what it takes
to
enjoy and use these cars in the southern summers. After all, you
can
always put on more clothes when its cold, but the last time I
checked,
the local gendarmes still frown on driving naked, as much fun as
that
might be...(except on hot vinyl). I still remember how hot my 3A
was
in the summer down here in south Florida in the early 60's. Now I'm
40
years older and we got "global warming" to boot. Go for the oil
cooler
        and anything else that helps!!!
regards, Phil (Melting in my TR-6 in south FL.)Bacon
