How do you visually tell the difference between a J-Type and an A-Type
OD tranny? Is there a list of numbers to differentiate which TR-6
tranny's were installed in the earlier TR-6's (should be A-Type??)
versus the ones installed in later TR-6's (J-Types??). And, is the
number on the TR-6 tranny's in the same place as on a TR-3 tranny? Can
you tell anything by the shape of the output flange? If a transmission
has a round output flange vs a square one, does this rule it out as
having come from a TR-6?
