Well I suppose I've had every gauge off several times over the years and I'm
pretty sure most if not all of those O-rings went to "Gasket Heaven" a long time
ago.  Definitely the tach & speedo gaskets are no longer there.  I, too, live in
a dry climate and have had no problems that I would attribute to the absence of
gaskets.

Still, Standard put them there for a reason so if you have a ready and
reasonable source it might be wise to include them.
