This came to me via the TRFaq, please respond to Claudette... I pointed
her at www.team.net/TR8, but if anyone else has "unbiased opinions" (Are
there such a thing in LBC land?), let 'er rip.

Malcolm,

Please help me make this decision or point me in the right direction ....
please. I've decided to buy myself a toy, a sportscar. I was looking at the
Mazda Miata because of its realiability factor and reputation. I once owned
a 1976 MGB, purchased off the showroom floor, (I was 19!) and it was a
nightmare. It had electrical and every other problem you could imagine.

My good friend and neighbor has decided to part with his showroom condition
Triumph TR8. It is flawless, with less than 30,000 original miles. It's
life has been in a garage. Realistically speaking, how reliable would this
car be for summertime travelling and please tell me, in your best opinion,
what I should be willing to pay for this car. I won't hold you to it! Just
need an unbiased, knowledgeable opinion.

I would surely appreciate your help!

Regards,
