My 74 TR6 had the oem style Clear Hooters headlight rocker switch until this
weekend. I already had the wood dash removed and decided that this would be
a good time to upgrade to the Lucas replacement switch (try saying Lucas and
upgrade in the same sentence without laughing out loud).

I opened up the metal portion of the dash to accept the wider workings of
the Lucas switch. The switch went into the wood dash just fine when the wood
dash was away from the metal underdash. However, now that the wood dash has
been re-installed, the headlight switch will not remain in place. It appears
that the little tangs on the switch aren't able to grip the wood dash, and
hold it in position.

Is there any one who has done this mod that has any suggestions to correct
this? Thanks much.
