        Listerati,

In searching for 2-eared spinners to fit the 8-spoke American
Racing Equipment "Silverstone" mags, I've come across 2 options that may be
acceptable substitutes for someone:
1: NOS right-hand spinners from another manufacturer, plated a
cheesy gold color. Just like the originals, but with a circular depression
on the face to accept a manufacturer's emblem. You would have to replate
these in chrome. No LH-threaded ones available.
        2. NOS spinners just like the originals (but also from another
manufacturer), but with no threads at all. These are chrome-plated and look
sensational, but you'll have to devise a way to secure them if you want to
drive the car with them on. The set screw will certainly not keep them on
in motion, though it might be an option for shows after the car is parked.

I'm going to try option 2 for my TR250, which has 3 LH-threaded
wheels and one RH-threaded. The "threadless" silver caps have a 5/16" or so
"nut" on the underside of the cap, which I plan to use with some threaded
rod to secure the caps to the wheel somehow. I make no implied warranty
that this will work, however. (YMMV?)

Anyway, I had to buy several sets of each to make it worth the
vendor's while, so if anyone wants to share the damage let me know please.

        Best Regards,

        Tom Marincic
