For the most part the advice on the choke linkage seems to be to disable the
fast idle cam as it raises the idle way too high, this is the way Mine is
set up, just has enough slack so the cam doesn't do anything. On this basis
you could use the cable for the front carb to do the metering unit and leave
the other end coiled up somewhere!
