Yes folks, she rides again!
I pulled the re[lacement head off again and re-installed it this weekend
and every is lovely - no white smoke or water on the plugs. Went to work
in it this morning with no problem.
The only thing that was done different on installing the head was painting
on "Yamabond" (instead of CopperKote) and praying (begging) to God before I
hit the starter button.
Many thanks to both Randall, for the Yamabond idea, and to God, for sparing
his humble servant excessive pain.
