Hello everyone,
As you may know, you in the USA have a video format of VHS-NTSC at 60 Hz
and we here in the UK have a format of VHS-PAL at 50 Hz, they are not
compatible.
Conversions of tapes from one to the other are possible, but expensive and
the quality suffers markedly.
Nowadays here in the UK we can purchase video recorders and also TV's with
built in video recorders which are capable of playing both formats, NTSC and
PAL.
Does anyone happen to know if the situation is the same in the USA ?
i.e. can you good people also buy dual playback machines for use in your
country with your TV sets?
I would be interested to hear from any of you that may know this.
