You are correct .
Bottles and pumps for TR 2 - TR 3A ( not sure about TR 3 B ) were made by
Trafalgar .
Early Spitfires ( possibly TR 4 and later versions ) used TuDor equipment .
According to the original TR 3 parts manual ( Accessories , page 155 ) the
windscreen washer kit , part no. 553729 consist of the following :
Pump unit , windscreen washer , No. required 1 , Part No.604128 .
Knob , pump unit , No. required 1 , Part No.554246 .
Bracket assembly - container , No. required 1 , Part No.702034 .
Screw , bracket to valance , No. required 2 , Part No.TK. 4504 .
Washer , plain , on screw , No. required 2 , Part No.WP. 0005 .
Washer , spring , on screw , No. required 2 , Part No.WL. 0205 .
Nut , on screw , No. required 2 , Part No.HN. 2005 .
I don't have the part no. for the bottle / container handy . You will also
need the two water jets that mount in front of the windscreen as well as
plastic tubing . Again no part numbers handy . Since I didn't have the
correct jets and tubing , I used two jets from an early Herald ( different
than the ones used on Spitfires ) and the tubing I bought from a pet shop (
home aquarium / fish tank tubing ) .
Sorry , I have no idea where you will find the original Trafalgar equipment
.
Please let me know what you find out as I'm also in need .
I have the original Trafalgar bottle but no pump or knob . Actually I have a
pump ( no knob ) , but it's beyond repair and I don't think it's the correct
one for a TR 3 ( although it is a Trafalgar pump ) :-( .
I do have an extra original Spitfire TuDor pump . It might be possible to
use this pump if I could find the correct knob for a TR 3 .
