Hi all,
Subject says it all. Most of our cars have unbaffled fuel tanks
and now that my tank is out for cleaning, it's time to fabricate
an internal swirl pot. If anyone has done this, would you please
share your experience? What's the pot actually look like?

I think all TR fuel tanks are baffled,in addition the PI tanks have an
interior swirl pot. The pot in fact is an open cylinder welded to the
bottom of the tank at the hight of the outlet.At the lowest point the
walls are punctured to regulate the rate of fuel flow in and out of the
pot.This prevents to a certain amount the tank outlet to run dry
when cornering.In PI models the fuel return line from the metering
unit feeds direct into the pot.I think it would be easier to fit an
external swirl pot to prevent fuel starvation, but the glass bowl on
the pump is a kind of external swirl pot.
