A little over a week ago I had the difficult task of putting down our dog,
ANGUS a 14 year old Scotty. He was suffering from congestive heart failure.
I didn't think that it would bother me as much as it did. I found that I was
more attached to him than I realized.
I was constantly chasing him out of the garage as he enjoyed sprinkling his
scent on the garage clutter that is slowly becoming a Triumph TR3A. In the
future, when rust begins to form, I will (fondly?) think of him. My wife and
I both swore off dogs and said that we didn't want to go thru the loss of
another one. Well guess what, as of Saturday we are now the proud ouners of
a 9 week old Golden Retriever mix, and she is a sweetheart. So when ever I
finish my TR, I know I wil always have a willing riding companion.
