The radiator you describe is like the one I have in my '76 TR6 and matches
picture in TRF catalogue for after comm number CF35,000 which I think is the
'75 model year and later.  If the output tube on the thermostat cover points
to the front, then go buy the standard hose for the late TR6.  If it points
off to the LH side of the car, then it is a cap for a pre CF35,000 car.  In
that case you may need to purchase the later thermostat cover or try to find
a long flexible hose that some auto stores sell as "general purpose hoses".
