Somewhere in all this, though, I am still hoping to get my V8 conversion
completed. I promised myself I'd have it done by October 5 (my 61st
birthday), but that looks very doubtful now.

Hey, folks, give Dan a break. He's been working on his V8 TR6 ever since I
first met him which has been several years and looking at his progress I
think October 5 is rather optimistic. And between the Honey-does (over
which we have no controls) and the book publishing schedule (over which we
do have some control) he has precious little time left to pursue his dream.
And what is retirement for but to pursue dreams?
