Mark,
I polished my carbs in my tumbletr when I rebuilt them, but a dremel
with the polishing bobs will work to just more time consuming. to
protect them I used VHT Flame Proof Clear Coating colors are available
as wel you can pick it up in most Speed Shops or Motorcycle shops. The
VHT doesn't change the color of the metal, it can tolerate combustion
chamber temperatures, Yamaha and Kawasaki coat their cylinder head ports
with the stuff. The catch 22 is you must bake it on to the metal, and
the only way to remove it is to blast it, or sand it off.

Hi the list:

I want to polish up my carbs and keep everything from getting tarnished
again. What is the best method? I have a Dremel so I can buy some brush
tips
and save some elbow grease. For protection after polishing, is there
some
sort of shellac or varnish that won't just peel off or yellow?
