Degrees of separation... interesting concept.. one I have heard many times
but not put in perspective. A very close co-worker's niece is in the
Marines, assigned to a Naval unit at the pentagon. She was off-site working
a project but was immediately called in to help in the search/rescue of
"her" section. If it had happened last week or next week, T probably would
have been a casualty. All I can think of is the freckly faced kid I met 12
years ago... not the woman rushing out to a helo with a gurney I saw last
night on the news. I didn't realize it was her until after I talked with my
co-worker this morning.
As others have said.. our thoughts and prayers are the most that we can do
at this point.
