an 'el cheapo' program called PCTRACE (bottom of the page)
The demo version will let you build small boards
and do the routing.
very cheap, very simple.

go to www.google.com and do a search for
pctrace schematic 
you'll get a lot of info.

Anyone have a suggestion for PC board layout software.
I'm looking for:
single side layout,
low component count (<50),
easy to use,
cheap
