Above all you should be happy with your car, so do whatever you like with
it. If people say its not a Triumph, show them the build plate ;-)
However, a note of caution- when the modification bug sets in there can be
no end. This can cost a lot of money. IMHO the best policy is to draw the
line at modifying for comfort and practicality/reliability. IMHO if you
modify simply for serious speed or looks you may end up loosing $ as such
mods often add nothing to the value of the car, if not reducing it. IMHO if
one is after serious speed or looks its better to buy a fast/good looking
car to begin with and your hip pocket will thank you in the end.
Luckily Triumphs can be both fast and beautiful in stock form.
Just my 2 cents, I expect opinions to vary on the list, and I respect
everyone's opinion.
BTW if you do go the Miata swap keep the original seats just in case (a
concours minded future owner may thank you)...
