Hi, TeriAnn. Loved your history lesson. I had totally forgotten
about the shipwright's disease analogy.

One minor correction, I think.

Dale (known in full as Dale Cook, whom someone, perhaps John Lye,
dubbed Ovr Fovnder) started the british-cars list but I had thought
it was while we were at Alliant, not Apollo. If he started it at
Apollo and brought it to Alliant, it is news to me; I've always been
under the delusion that british-cars@alliant.com was the original.

Alliant was never a large company but back then our small parking
lot was home to his B, my Spitfire, a TR6, and a Midget, plus a
few other marques upheld by other enthusiasts.

I still see Dale every so often. I wish I could remember who
coind his title Ovr Fovnder.

As for your note:
>Hey Jim, don't forget for those of us with a Rolls or Land Rover
> it also stood for Large British Car.

I don't remember that part. But then I don't have as much hair
as I used to either!
