Hoping this does not start the "pushme/pullyou" debate once again, 
but I mounted my electric Hayden 16" fan behind the radiator "pulling 
the air" as the old fan does/did, after removing the old fan and fan 
extension. I also had the radiator rebuilt, installed the 6 vane 
water pump, used Redline Water Wetter and a 10% anti-freeze solution 
(as suggested by Redline) with Distilled Water. Only problem so far 
is the fan thermostat packed up, so I just installed an on/off 
switch. So far it has solved completely my cooling problems and 
yes...it gets way over 90 in Calaveras County, but never below 30 <G>
