Thanks to all who replied to my 3.7 or 4.1 question.

Stopped by the rear end shop this morning. He feels that what I am hearing
may not be the rear end.
 A little background
'65 4AIRS

Just swapped rear ends last week and a few noises appeared

When the clutch pedal is depressed the noise goes away.(TO bearing?)

Noise does not start until about 40MPH.

Pushing on the rear fenders when stationary a slight metallic click or pop
can be heard. This was there before swapping rear end. (Hub bearings?)

The 'Noise' is hard to describe. Kind of whining, kind of grinding.

Thanks
Steve Sewell
