I guess since you got it out with the line still attached you can put it
back still attached although I've always put the line on after the tank was
in. Mostly so it wouldn't get bent or get some debris up the line when
putting the tank back in
So it is possible to get a wrench on the nut holding the line into the tank
and tighten it sufficiently so it doesn't leak after the tank has been
reinstalled (as long as the line is centered in the hole through the tub and
that "donut" gasket that seals that hole isn't off center).
