That's because they are alike - A TR6 is basically a stroked GT6 engine
with slightly larger carbs-

The year(s) it was the addition of little things like the Rotoflex
suspension, improved ventilation with added rear hatch vents, louvers in
the hood - little things like that

The tranny aren't particularly strong, as well as the rear ends -They
sometimes tend to run a little warm on hot days as the cooling system is
marginal, and inside can run warm as well even with the improved
ventilation system and can seem a little cramped inside - Other than that,
nothing comes to mind -
