1. Was thinking of building up a Jag SS-100 replica...asked my british car
mechanic guru for help.......after a bit....he said..........why don't you
forget about a replica and just get a REAL sports car?.........his suggestion
TR4A-IRS..........(course that was his favorite, since he had one!........he
said,
"dependable, easy to fix, parts available....go find one!!!)..........I
did........and he helped me........and after many hours and hard work, and, of
course, a bunch of dollars.........3rd place VTR National Convention,
Concours........

2. Almost more ugly than s...t.......but they grow on you,
eh?........previous owner of a '57 MGA.........which was beautiful!!!!
Hey!.......I gotta
admit.........my TR has more GUTS!!!.......body parts don't fit too
well.......bonnet vibrates at low RPM......(I hope it will not come OFF and
fall on the
street, eh?) Someone once said..........."An MGA is built like a
sewing machine.......a TR4 like a tractor..........take your pick!" And I
think
that says it!........you gotta a 'watch' here or a 'sundial'!.......which will
stand up to the 'gaff' the best???

3. Have everyone go to the VTR web site.........for buyer's
information..........invaluable advice and information!!! Learn enough about
the car you
are buying or have bought.........when I won 3rd Concours..........I had TR5 or
250 seats in it............which were in the car when I bought
it!!!!......they looked great.........but they were wrong!!!, and I didn't know
that.............(cost me 1st or at least 2nd).......know your car as best you
can before
you buy it!!! Yes!!!....Clubs, shows, etc....and, of course, buy the best
restoration that you can afford!..........will save you many bucks in the long
run!!!

Hope this helps a bit!

Cheers!

Clark
