There should be two small sheet metal hooks at the top sides of the windshield
posts, almost hidden under the rubber weather-stripping, and two corresponding
wire eyelets on the front top of your soft top's window flaps that attach to
the hooks.  I haven't had my top up for a few years but ISTR that the elastic
strap stretches rearward, loops around the top sticks creating tension, then
snaps onto the top sticks.  The elastic strap has the female snap, the top
sticks have the male snap.  If anyone currently has their top installed,
please feel free to double check and correct my sometimes faulty memory.

FWIW, TR4s don't seal all that well in the rain.  Mine has a nasty habit of
dripping directly on my slacks.
