My TR4 started out with a surrey top. It was replaced with a soft top
by the previous owner (Wayne Bier of Triumphs Only). I had the top up
for the first time this weekend as I drove the car from my home near
San Francisco to my new home in San Luis Obispo. The window flaps did
not seal against the windows very well, and ISTR that they attached
somehow to the windscreen frame on another TR4 I looked at years ago.
My windscreen frame has no hook or stud installed there (perhaps
because it once had a surrey top). I remember Wayne removing what
looked like elastic cords from the window flaps when I picked up the
car two years ago (perhaps because he had not installed anything for
them to fasten to...).
So my question is: how are these flaps supposed to work?
