Have you checked the fuel output from the fuel pump?  Pull the hose off from 
the carbs and aim it into a container when you start it (pull coil wire so 
it can't run on the fuel in the floats) and you should get a streaming/pule 
of fuel that shoots out a couple inches.  At least, that's how I'd do it on 
the 4.  It's either fuel or spark most likely.
