About a week ago I wrote asking if anyone knew whether there was much
difference between the two timing chains available - one being 5x the price
of the other.
I called TRF; they said the original brand is for purists. I wrote to Ken
Gillanders of BFE who sells the less expensive one, and he wrote:

Jim, we have found no particular advantage to the more expensive timing
chain. in 45 years I have not seen a broken timing chain.
