Jim:

Not positive but it may be the strap the rear of the muffler hangs from. On
the rear cross tube is a welded piece that this bolts to and then it hangs
down and bolts to the muffler, at least on the early TR6.

My TR250 came to me pretty much in boxes. I recently cleaned and 'restored'
a part that I have no idea where it goes!

It is a black reinforced rubber 'strap', about 4 3/4 inches long, by 5/8
inch wide. There is a plated steel over-center 'latch' to lock the strap in
a loop on it self rivited to one end with a 3/16ths hole for mounting to a
flat surface. I found the 'strap' in a box of items from under the hood,
although that may not necessarily mean anything.

If this descrption strikes a cord with any of you, please send me an email
with any ideas comments you may have.

Thanks in advance,

Jim
