The Bumper Boys in Los Angeles quotes a price for exchanging the bumpers
on a1969 TR6 at $925.
I stopped by the Bumper Boyz booth at the Indianapolis swap meet a couple of
years ago, and was not impressed with the pieces they had brought for display.
No, they weren't damaged from being hauled around from show to show, but were
full of pits and imperfections from a poor polish job in preparation for the
plating. I would have thought that they'd have brought their best pieces to
display at a show, but then again maybe they did! And $925 does seem high.
Check around for a plater in your area that specializes in plating bumpers.
Any large/busy body shop can piont you in the right direction.
