I recently replaced the tie rod ends on my '60 TR3 as well as putting in
polly control arm bushings and still had a minor shimmy at certain speed
ranges (I simply drove above/below that range and it was fine).   New tires
so that wasn't it.
 
However I took it to a LBC specialist for a 2nd opinion and he suggested
replacing the steering idler arm (a bit%h to get at but recently on sale at
TRF) and the outer steel bushings in the lower A arms (only $6 each but have
to be pressed out).
 
Steering on the 4 might be different but I think the suspension is close to
the same as mine.
