How OLD is the gas?
I find both the TR2 and TR3 won't start easily after sitting out the
winter. This despite using full choke and priming the float bowls
via the lever on the fuel pump.
Modern gas, as little as 3 months old, seems to exhibit this effect.
If this is the problem, draining the bowls and filling them with
fresh gas, will result in an instant start.
That''s been my experience.
