About three decades ago, I lived in an apartment building with only outside
parking. There was a guy there named Mike who had an old Merc diesel. Of
course he left it running over cold nights. One night some local kids stuck a
potato over the exhaust pipe and he had a heck of a time getting it started.
Mike parked it badly once and it was towed. He didn't bail it out.
