Numerous options after you have compressed the gubbins to expose the spindle 
and hole including surgical locking forceps to hold the pin secure while you 
insert it or use coat hanger wire, sawn through about half inch from the end, 
insert it and then bend to break off the end remaining in the handle spindle.

Ok, it has been years since I've had the door panels off my car. I just got 
done doing some work on them and I can't get the stupid handles on!  What is 
the trick?!?  HELP!
