 The TR7 and TR8 both run with CV prop shafts.=C2=A0 No issues.
The only down side to CV joints is that when they fail they leave you stran=
ded.=C2=A0 When U-joints fail they make a bunch of noise and vibration but =
you can still go.

I took two prop shafts for a manual Stag to get balanced. Theguy at the sho=
p said the splines are worn and it can=E2=80=99t be balanced. He said hecan=
 make me a new custom one for 500$. The new one will use UJs The shop hasbe=
en around for years and they balanced my BW35 auto one many years back.LDPa=
rts has a prop shaft for sale. It is fitted with universaljoints. Rimmer Br=
os. sells a prop shaft fitted with CV joints. With shipping tothe USA, I ca=
n get either shipped for less than $300.=C2=A0While talking this guy, he sa=
id don=E2=80=99t get the one with theCV joints. CV joints are not suited fo=
r prop shafts. I didn=E2=80=99t probe why but amcurious if there is any tru=
th to what he said.=C2=A0With the rate of exchange between the UKP and US$ =
being the wayit is I=E2=80=99m hedging to get one with CV shipped from Rimm=
ersHave others in the US got a prop shaft custom made? If so,what is a typi=
