You might want to point out to your perspective insurer that in
autoracing all the vehicles are travelling in the same direction, all
the drivers have undergone a certain amount of training and you are
therefore more likely to be able to predict what the other guy (or
gal) is going to do, all the cars have extensive safety equipment, and
are probably better maintained than the average commuter car etc etc
etc . You are more likely to get injured crossing the street!
Now jumping out of a perfectly safe airplane that's something
completely different - it's not the fall that kills you, it's the
sudden stop at the end!
