I would recommend Vintage Racing Services in Stratford, Ct. Their number is
203-377-6745. None of these places are inexpensive, but I believe you will
get straightforward information from VRS and their billing will be honest.
They also have tremendous experience in preparing and restoring vintage race
cars.

Knute Kohlmann in Redwood City (near San Francisco), California @
650-365-9295. I can't remember the name of his shop, but I've known him for
years and watched him work. He usually does one-of-a-kind Italian cars
(Siata 8vs, special bodied Maseratis, Alfas, pre-war Nardi, etc). Seems
like every year he does one or two cars and usually they win at Pebble
Beach. He's quite familiar to fabrication.
