10ths, of course, are a Metric measurement more suited to those silver cars 
that boringly keep on ticking, and ticking, and.......

Proper British cars would measure their progress in furlongs per fortnight, 
and their ratio of driver effort in something like 12ths, rather than tedious 
10ths.
