TO ALL:

I have been watching the recent posts on this list with a certain amount of
amusement.

Today I received this message and have no idea who it is from since it was
not signed.

JUST FOR THE RECORD:

SVRA and I (Jack Woehrle) haven't changed any rules and do not expect anyone
to have to put headlights, passenger seat or charging systems back in their
cars, even though THEY took them out without ever checking to see if it was
correct or legal to do so.

However, the WEIGHT that they represent WILL be added to the official weight
of a car when we weigh it at post race inspection. Isn't that only fair?

I stated this policy in the last newsletter and have had many good responses
concerning this. I am never surprised anymore how some folks only read or
hear what they want (or fear) and miss the whole intent or topic entirely.

As organizers we have to contend with a lot of diverse issues and the best of
intentions are frequently misinterpreted, misconstrued and misquoted.

This is a good example of that sort of sitiation.

Jack Woehrle
